Connect Physiotherapy has over 20 years of experiencing of working with injuries. Each practitioner works closely together to optimise patient outcomes. We believe in learning from each other and will not hesitate to consult each other if needed. 

At Connect Physiotherapy, our focus is on you. We work one on one with you to develop a treatment plan that works!

Meet the team

David Blackburn

Principal Physiotherapist

David Blackburn - Principal Physiotherapist

David is the owner and Principal Physiotherapist. He studied at The University of Sydney and graduated in 2009. David enjoys treating complex lumbo-pelvic conditions, shoulders and people suffering from headaches and migraines. He has many years of sports coverage experience working at the semi-professional level as head Physiotherapist for a number of football clubs.

Monique McHugh

Senior Physiotherapist

Monique McHugh - Senior Physiotherapist

Monique studied at The University of Western Sydney and graduated in 2014. Monique has special interests in paediatrics, shoulders and the pelvis. She has also experienced a magnitude of her own sporting injuries which gives her a personal touch. She has experience working at Westmead Children's Hospital and a multitude of local sporting teams. Monique is currently on maternity leave and will return in 2025.

Mitchel Pennell

Associate Physiotherapist

Mitchel Pennell - Associate Physiotherapist

Mitchel studied at Western Sydney University and graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science in 2019. He then went on to complete his Masters in Physiotherapy at The University of Sydney, graduating in 2022. Mitchel has extensive knowledge in the health field from his experience as a Senior Personal Trainer. Mitchel is a strong believer in the benefits of exercise on quality of life. 

Alarna Stark

Associate Physiotherapist

Alarna Stark  - Associate Physiotherapist

Alarna studied at Western Sydney University and graduated in 2023. Alarna has experience in both sports coverage and disability services and is a strong believer of individualised care. Shaped by her own experience as a patient, she believes in treatment that is geared towards the patient’s goals and striving to optimise their quality of life. 

Graeme Mason

Exercise Physiologist

Graeme Mason  - Exercise Physiologist

Graeme studied at Western Sydney University and graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science in 2019. Graeme then completed his Masters in Exercise Physiology at the Australian Catholic University, graduating in 2023. Graeme has experience working as a Personal Trainer in a Combat gym. From seeing friends and families go through their own rehabilitation, Graeme understands what is required for recovery. 

Jodie O'Donohue

Allied Health Reception Team Leader

Jodie O'Donohue - Allied Health Reception Team Leader

Jodie has been working at Connect Physiotherapy since 2019 and is a key member in the functioning of our team. Jodie loves all sports, in particular soccer. She loves spending weekends at home with her family or taking the kids on new adventures.

Kylie King

Receptionist

Kylie King - Receptionist

Kylie has been a receptionist with Connect Physiotherapy since 2021 and is a valuable asset to the team. Kylie's family members are regular patients at the clinic. In her spare time, Kylie enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.

Krista is the principal chiropractor at, and founder of Health Innervation. She graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Masters of Chiropractic. She uses the Gonstead Technique and has been practising in Western Sydney for 10 years.

Nicola graduated Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Masters of Chiropractic. Nicola has a passion to help improve her patients’ quality of life through using a combination of chiropractic care and education to help patients achieve their goals.
